Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Interventional Radiology (IR) department, including pre-op and phase 2 recovery labs.
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and interpret EKGs with drip titration experience.
• Assist with procedures such as GI bleeds, strokes, biopsies, central lines, drains, and vascular cases.
• Collaborate with charge RNs and technical staff to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow.
• Adhere to department protocols, including call, holiday, and weekend requirements, with a 30-minute call response time.
• Utilize EMR system (EPIC) and Phillips monitors to document and monitor patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or proof of application process.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Experience interpreting EKGs and drip titration.
• Knowledge of IR procedures and patient diagnoses typical of the department.
• Last four digits of SSN and middle initial for submission.
• Understanding of OSF Drug-Free Campus policy and negative drug screen requirement.
• Ability to work 9-hour shifts between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM, four days per week.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in IR or procedural nursing settings.
• Familiarity with Phillips monitors and EPIC EMR.
• Ability to manage patient ratios such as 1:1 intraprocedurally and up to 1:4 in recovery.
