Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Title

• Registered Nurse (Travel - ER)

• Salem, VA

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 13-week assignment, night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced ER environment
• Perform advanced procedures such as RSI, sepsis protocols, stroke protocol management, and central line placement
• Collaborate with a team of nurses and medics to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Handle transfers to other facilities in accordance with EMTALA regulations
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to unit policies and procedures
• Support mental health patients and manage patient care for high-acuity cases

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• 2-3 years ER experience
• Completed 2-3 travel assignments
• Proven experience in high-volume, high-acuity ERs with patient ratios of 4-6:1

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with fast-paced ER environments
• Knowledge of high-volume patient care procedures
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, respectful, and friendly manner
