Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, 13-week assignment, Night shift, 12-hour shifts, approximately 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a busy orthopedic and spine specialty unit.
- Manage acutely ill patients with neurological conditions, traumas, and post-surgical needs.
- Utilize electronic medical records and mobile communication tools to coordinate care efficiently.
- Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and other procedures as required.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapy, radiology, and respiratory staff.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, adhering to unit policies and infection control standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care hospital experience, preferably in Medical-Surgical, Tele, or similar units
- Kansas RN license
- BLS certification
- Experience with EMR systems, specifically Meditech
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NIH certification or similar specialized training
- Experience working in Level 2 trauma centers or with orthopedic/spine patients
- Familiarity with mobile communication platforms like iMobile or similar
