• Full-time, Night shifts (3x12 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in IMC/PCU/Stepdown units, including telemetry, neuro stepdown, and post-cardiac procedures.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergency codes using rapid response teams.
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips, vasoactive drugs, PCA, and procedural sedation, following protocols.
• Manage ventilated patients, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and assist with various respiratory therapies.
• Perform IV therapy procedures such as port access, arterial line management, and PICC line care.
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic charting system.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Illinois RN license in hand at the time of application.
• Minimum 12 months of recent acute care experience in a similar setting.
• BLS and NIH certifications; ACLS preferred.
• Strong skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response.
• Experience with ventilator management, invasive lines, and post-surgical care.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Telemetry, neuro stepdown, and ICU experience.
• Experience in Level I trauma, teaching hospitals, or specialized units such as neuro or ortho trauma.
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system.
• Ability to work shift flexibly, including weekends and major holidays.
