Key Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy, including investigational protocols.
• Perform transfusions of blood, platelets, and plasma.
• Conduct port draws, phlebotomy, and central line access and care.
• Manage procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and aspirations with minimal analgesia.
• Monitor and manage toxicities related to chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments.
• Care for and monitor patients with neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, anemia, and electrolyte abnormalities.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an inpatient oncology setting.
• Valid VA or compact state nursing license.
• EPIC electronic health record system experience.
• Ability to float within scope of practice as needed.
• Knowledge of chemotherapy and infusion protocols.
• BSN degree preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Inpatient oncology experience with infusion clinics, including day hospital procedures.
• Experience managing patients undergoing autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplants and CAR-T therapy.
• Familiarity with procedural areas such as port access and bone marrow biopsy suites.
