- Night shifts, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in labor and delivery settings, including postpartum and antepartum care
- Function as a Baby Nurse during deliveries, caring for newborns until transfer to postpartum care, including assessments and injections such as Vit K and eye care
- Monitor fetal heart rates with electronic fetal monitoring (EPIC Hardstop compliance required)
- Support high-risk obstetric patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment supporting both routine and complex cases
- Float to related units such as postpartum and community clinics, supporting various patient populations including substance recovery and private OB practices
- Follow AWHONN guidelines and maintain accurate documentation of patient care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years recent experience in high acuity, high volume labor and delivery units
- Current RN license with valid proof of certification (including BLS, NRP) with supplemental preferred certifications (ACLS, AWHONN Advanced/Intermediate)
- Proven experience in postpartum, antepartum, and high-risk obstetric care, including electronic fetal monitoring
- Ability to circulate and perform newborn assessments, eye care, thighs, and injections such as Vit K and Heparin
- Must pass clinical review, provide current supervisory references, and submit proof of required certifications
- Must have active compact license if applicable, and candidates from non-Swedish facilities (excluding Swedish facilities) must have been separated for at least 3 months to be eligible for travel contracts
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience supporting midwifery clients and adult recovery services in substance recovery settings
- Familiarity with high-volume/complex Labor & Delivery units and handling high-risk cases
- Comfortable working under EPIC electronic systems and adhering to AWHONN staffing guidelines

Additional Notes
