Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the HVTI-Stepdown unit at a major hospital campus
• Care may include floating to other units (J1-2, J33, and ED) to support patient needs
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and respond to emergencies
• Recognize and interpret ECG rhythms accurately
• Complete documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in a similar specialty prior to travel
• Recent stepdown unit experience; travel experience acceptable
• Ohio licensed or holding a valid Compact State License in Hand
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with Nicotine (if applicable) and proper background clearance
• Completion of required background checks within specified timeframe

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in PCU or Progressive Care unit training preferred
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including every other holiday
• Familiarity with hospital-specific systems such as Qualivis – Lotus

• Must have a permanent Ohio license or valid Compact license obtained after 1/1/23
• References from a supervisor, manager, or medical director are required

• Travel compliance including background checks, drug screens, and modules is mandatory
• Shift hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (day shift) and 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (night shift)
• Candidates should be prepared for orientation including assessments and required training modules
