Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR) / Surgical Services

• Santa Fe, NM

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, days shift (6:30 AM - 3:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent nursing care in a surgical/operating room setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care plans and address their psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
• Collaborate with other care providers, make appropriate assignments, and delegate as needed to manage clinical situations effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in New Mexico or an active Compact state license.
• BLS certification via AHA.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in a related specialty setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working specifically in an operating room or surgical environment.
• Familiarity with perioperative protocols and procedures.
