• Full-time, 13-week contract, onsite, day shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients, including IV starts and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Monitor and manage patients with neurological diagnoses such as stroke, epilepsy, and neurosurgical conditions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records using EPIC and other systems.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Float to other MS/Tele units as needed, including COVID care units, with flexibility to adapt to census needs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry settings.
• Current NC or Compact RN license and must be in hand at start.
• BLS certification required; NIH and NIHSS preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with IV starts and dysrhythmia management.
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to starting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience working with stroke and neuro patients, including neuro procedures and monitors.
• Familiarity with hospital systems such as PYXIS and EPIC.
