Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 13-week contract, full-time, days shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in a fast-paced operating room environment.
• Assist with preoperative assessments, patient preparation, and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians, to ensure patient safety and care quality.
• Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to hospital protocols for safety and infection control.
• Document patient care and surgical procedures accurately in the medical records system.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Texas RN license (active and unrestricted).
• Over 2 years of OR nursing experience, with hands-on experience in surgical procedures.
• Recent hospital experience in an operating room setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system.
• Knowledge of robotics surgery, urology, bariatric surgery, general surgery, and transplant procedures.
• Familiarity with specialty surgical procedures such as liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants.
