• Full-time, day shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a busy Level I trauma center
• Manage PICC lines and starting IVs, ensuring patient safety and procedural accuracy
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential coverage for trach and laryngectomy patients
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health record system
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Active Illinois RN license in hand
• BLS certification, with AHA or Red Cross preferred
• Experience with PICC line management and IV placement
• Willing to learn and care for trach and laryngectomy patients if needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner charting system
• Ability to adapt to flexible ratios up to 1:7 if necessary
• Strong clinical skills and team-oriented mindset

Additional Details

• Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Travel compliance and housing assistance provided
• The facility accepts local candidates and does not have radius restrictions for most units
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Parking permit provided at no cost
