Key Responsibilities

• Provide cardiovascular surgical nursing care in a Level II Trauma Center.
• Support minimally invasive cardiac procedures including CABG, AVR, AAA, MVR, and carotid interventions.
• Assist with VATS, RATS, mediastinoscopy, pericardial windows, and tamponade management.
• Float within related units or hospitals as needed, ensuring coverage for scheduled and call shifts.
• Adhere to charting requirements using EPIC and maintain compliance with hospital policies.
• Participate in holiday shifts and call rotations, including weekends and weekday evenings as scheduled.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington or a Compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant cardiovascular or thoracic nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS, PALS, CNOR, and TNCC preferred.
• Experience with EPIC electronic charting system.
• Ability to float within hospital units and handle high-acuity patients.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Level II Trauma Center or similar high-volume facility.
• Familiarity with cardiac surgical procedures and perioperative care.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
