Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients in a dynamic, mixed acuity unit.
• Administer medications, including drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, and Insulin, following prescribed protocols.
• Monitor and assess patients post-heart catheterization and pacemaker procedures, ensuring patient stability.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient care in oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary cases.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner charting system.
• Float within the hospital or to nearby facilities as needed to ensure consistent staffing coverage.

Required Qualifications

• Valid IN state nursing license (must be in hand prior to start date).
• Minimum of 18 months of RN experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Experience with administering and managing drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, and Insulin.
• Solid neuro experience, especially in stroke care.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in medical-surgical or telemetry units.
• Experience working in a hospital with high acuity cases such as stroke, oncology, and cardiac procedures.
• Strong ability to float between different units including MS/Tele and PCU.
