Respiratory Therapist

Job Title

• Respiratory Therapist (Pediatric Specialty)

• Charleston, SC

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Day shifts, 3x12 hours per week (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy care to pediatric, neonatal, and infant patients in a teaching, Level 1 Trauma hospital.
• Work a rotating schedule including holidays and every other weekend.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the Epic electronic health record system.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs depending on experience.
• Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season if assigned.

Required Qualifications

• RRT certification with NBRC and SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider) license in hand at start.
• BLS and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric, neonate, and infant respiratory care experience.
• Epic system experience preferred.
• Willingness to work a block schedule and accommodate floating within scope.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric, neonatal, and infant respiratory therapy experience.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
• Prior experience in a Magnet, teaching, or Level 1 Trauma hospital setting.
