Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM), weekdays with rotating holidays and one weekend shift per month. On-call requirement: 4 call shifts every 4 weeks.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures across a variety of specialties including trauma, transplant, neuro, orthopedic, ENT, and robotics.
• Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring a sterile environment.
• Support surgical teams by scrubbing in on complex cases such as neuro, ENT, and robotics surgeries.
• Float within scope to meet unit needs and provide coverage across different specialties as required.
• Participate in emergency response during hurricane season when needed.
• Adhere to all hospital protocols, including radiation badge compliance and certification requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Certification through NBSTSA (MUSC does NOT accept NCCT).
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid Radiation Badge.
• Minimum of 2 years of OR tech experience, with high preference for neuro (spines/crani), ENT (flaps), and robotics (DaVinci Xi).
• South Carolina RN license or certification as a Surgical Technologist.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with complex neuro, ENT, or robotic surgeries.
• Familiarity with trauma and transplant procedures.
• Ability to float across units and support a high-volume, dynamic OR environment.
