• Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Night Shift)

• Travel, Nights (13-week assignment)
Key Responsibilities
• Provide inpatient nursing care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including pneumonia, COPD, and other lung diseases.
• Care for medical patients with GI issues, diabetes, stroke, and surgical needs.
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed, ensuring flexible coverage on a specialty medical-surgical/telemetry unit.
• Participate in daily interdisciplinary team rounds, contributing to comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain appropriate patient ratios (1:6 for respiratory, 1:4 in step-down respiratory unit) and ensure quality care delivery during night shifts.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, safety protocols, and documentation standards.
Required Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or a Compact state (no temporary licenses accepted).
• Associate degree in Nursing or higher.
• BLS or Red Cross CPR certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in a medical-surgical/telemetry setting.
• Willingness to float to other units and work independently during night shifts.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience caring for respiratory patients in a hospital setting.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
