Registered Nurse Oncology

Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Oncology / Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Travel Assignment

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, travel, 13-week contract, days shift, rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to oncology and BMT patients in a 40-bed unit.
• Administer chemotherapy, manage telemetry monitoring, and perform patient assessments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Follow unit-specific policies and procedures, including safety and documentation protocols.
• Float to other units as needed, supporting team coverage and flexibility.
• Complete bedside shift reports, safety rounds, and patient management with adherence to standards.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of Texas or applicable licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• ONS chemotherapy certification.
• At least 1 year of RN experience, with oncology/PCU level of care.
• Ability to read telemetry and monitor titration of IV drips.
• Competent in chemotherapy administration.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology experience, specifically in BMT settings.
• Able to read telemetry and perform simple titration of drips.
• Experience with autologous and allogeneic transplants, including CAR-T therapies.
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system.
