Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care to a 42-bed cardiac telemetry unit.
• Monitor and treat patients with cardiac conditions such as chest pain, arrhythmias, shortness of breath, and palpitations.
• Care for medical patients with pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, stroke, and surgical patients.
• Float to other units or hospitals as needed, maintaining flexibility across assignments.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ASN) or higher.
• Valid Alabama or compact State of Alabama nursing license (No temporary licenses accepted).
• AHA BLS or Red Cross Basic Life Support certification.
• Must have an active registered nurse license in Alabama or a valid compact state.
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting, with at least 18 months of overall experience under a professional license.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with cardiac telemetry patients.
• Ability to float between units and hospitals effectively.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
