• Night shift, 3x12 hours (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM), full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients with conditions such as COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, COVID-19, chest pain, small bowel obstructions, and post-surgical cases.
• Manage a patient load with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform IV starts as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient information and care activities accurately in electronic health records.
• Float within the hospital and to nearby facilities as required.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Indiana (perm or temporary with approval).
• Minimum of 18 months of RN experience in a Medical-Surgical or Telemetry setting.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and IV starts.
• Ability to work every other weekend and at least 2 out of 3 major holidays.
• Valid SSN and DOB for credentialing purposes.
• Willingness to float as required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience.
• Knowledge of specific medical conditions and surgical procedures listed.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Note: This opportunity offers a $3.00/hr charge pay bump, holiday blackout dates from July 1–6, and requires compliance with IU Health policies regarding local and out-of-state travel.
