• Days, Full-time, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in IMC, PCU, and Stepdown units with acuity levels approaching ICU standards.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, manage chest tubes, and care for patients with fresh trachs, feeding tubes, and epidurals.
• Administer and titrate IV medications, including insulin and non-titratable cardiac drips.
• Perform Doppler flap checks and manage non-invasive ventilation such as external BiPAP/CPAP.
• Float to different levels of care as needed within the hospital, with provided resources and training.
• Support precepting and mentoring students or new staff as required by teaching hospital protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Indiana or multi-state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, preferably in IMC, PCU, or progressive care units.
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, chest tube management, and care of post-op patients.
• Ability to handle complex patient conditions including epidurals, feeding tubes, and ventilated patients.
• Valid ACLS and BCLS certifications.
• Must work at least 2 major holidays during the contract period.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in surgical and thoracic units, including ENT, neck dissections, and thoracotomies.
• Knowledge of advanced patient management techniques such as external BiPAP/CPAP and Doppler flap checks.
• Ability to float between Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU levels of care.
