Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in the Medical Surgical and Telemetry units.
• Monitor patient vitals, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage cardiac and other critical patient conditions.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and manage post-procedure and post-operative patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care and meet individual needs.
• Document patient information accurately using electronic health records (EPIC).
• Respond to emergencies promptly, including rapid response calls and code situations.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Missouri or an applicable compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent, in-specialty RN experience within the past 12 months.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Previous community hospital experience preferred.
• Ability to float across units as needed within scope of practice.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certification in NIHSS, ACLS, and CPI preferred.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and emergency response protocols.
• Knowledge of cardiac, neurological, and respiratory patient management.
• Comfortable with interpreting ABGs and managing ventilated patients.

Special Requirements / Notes

• Night shifts (18:45 – 07:15), with rotating weekends and holiday coverage.
• Floating between departments and facilities within Kansas and Missouri required; local candidates within a 75-mile radius considered.
• Must have at least 2 years of recent specialty experience and be able to provide recent references.
• Compliance includes completing required modules, EPIC training, and labs prior to start.
• Valid licenses, references, and all credentialing documentation needed at submission.
• No travel partners accepted; 7-day maximum request for time off.
• This role includes guaranteed hours, with 3 shifts per 13 weeks, and must adhere to facility and staffing policies.
