Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care for surgical oncology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and plastics patients, including chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and oncologic emergencies.
• Monitor and support adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as breast, thyroid, melanoma, liver, pancreas, spleen, biliary tract cancers, colon, and rectal cancers.
• Follow infection prevention protocols and fall prevention procedures to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to manage complex patient needs in a busy IMC/PCU/Stepdown environment.
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic medical records system.

Required Qualifications
• Valid compact or state RN license in Ohio
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric oncology patients is a plus

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Oncology nursing or medical-surgical experience with chemotherapy and oncologic procedures
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic charting system
• Experience with IV infusions, cytokine release syndrome, insulin, and heparin drips

Additional Details
• Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 19:00 to 07:30.
• Shifts per week: 3.
• Travel compliance and fingerprinting deadlines are strictly enforced — candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing.
• Candidates outside Ohio within driving distance are expected to complete fingerprinting in Ohio; those farther away will receive fingerprinting packets for urgent completion.
• RTO (Request for Time Off) must be included at submission and incorporated into contract.
• References: Two professional references required—at least one from a manager or director, and a charge RN is acceptable for the second.
• Candidates must have a valid Ohio license at the time of submission.
• No coworker references accepted.
• Former employees may qualify after 6 months of separation.
