Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on a Stepdown unit at a major hospital, with potential to float to other patient care areas as needed.
• Care for a similar patient population within the IMC/PCU/Stepdown specialty.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards, including completing necessary assessments and certifications during orientation.
• Recognize cardiac rhythms accurately and administer medications safely.
• Work at least every other holiday, supporting the hospital’s operational needs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent recent experience in the specialty applying for, prior to travel.
• Ohio license or compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
• American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (active, with nothing pending).
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments (acceptable scores required).
• Ability to pass a background screening including nicotine and drug tests, with results updated within required timeframes.
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
• Successful completion of hospital modules, including on-site badging and fingerprinting prior to start date.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Travel experience in a Stepdown or ICU environment preferred but not required.
• Experience with PCU/Progressive Care settings beneficial.
