- Full-time, 3 shifts per week, Day shifts, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to labor, delivery, and postpartum patients, including monitoring responses to care and assisting with procedures
- Educate new mothers on breastfeeding, infant care, and wellness during pregnancy and postpartum
- Collaborate with healthcare team, including physicians and nursery staff, to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document all patient interactions, observations, and education in medical records accurately
- Assist with emergencies and support staff in maintaining a safe, clean environment in the Family Birthing Center
- Act as a patient advocate and ensure safety and quality in all aspects of care
Required Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado
- Minimum of two years of labor and delivery experience
- Associate’s Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
- BLS certification, NRP certification (required); ACLS certification preferred
- Ability to independently assess and evaluate labor and neonatal patients using both objective and subjective data
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience collaborating with neonatal and obstetric teams in a hospital setting
- Strong patient education and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
