Location
- Nashville, TN
Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Full-time, 13-week assignment, Nights, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring patients, including monitoring fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs.
- Assist with delivering newborns and caring for immediate post-delivery needs.
- Circulate and recover C-section patients, ensuring adherence to hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with medical teams to support shared decision-making and patient-centered care.
- Document patient care using hospital systems such as CPN and Meditach.
- Follow unit policies and safety guidelines, including floating policies and dress code requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
- Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP.
- Experience with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, tub labor procedures.
- Ability to care for laboring patients and newborns immediately after delivery.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Knowledge of hospital documentation systems such as CPN and Meditach.
- Experience working with shared patient decision-making models.
