Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed post-operative surgical unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Perform wound care including packing, dressing changes, and wound vac maintenance
• Manage post-op surgical procedure sites, Foley catheter care, and continuous bladder irrigation
• Perform nasogastric tube insertion and suction, TPN administration, and blood administration
• Maintain central line care and dressing changes, and manage ostomy appliance changes
• Conduct bedside shift reports and maintain open communication with the care team

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with EMR systems; experience with Meditech preferred
• Strong time management and efficiency skills in a fast-paced environment with short length-of-stay patients
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a nursing team

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Background in post-operative surgical areas such as vascular, bariatric, urology, general surgery, or colorectal surgery
• Experience with bariatric-fitted ADLs, wound vacs, drains, and patient lifts
• Outgoing, customer service-oriented personality with attentiveness to patient needs
