Key Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiac catheterization and peripheral angiography procedures within a multi-suite lab environment averaging approximately 5 cases per day

• Support care for patients presenting with diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, stroke requiring neuro-intervention, peripheral angios, line and drain placement, and loop recorder procedures

• Operate and assist with Philips monitoring equipment and imaging tables, including BiPlane capabilities, within a hybrid room and standard cath lab setting

• Document and manage patient information using Epic EMR and lab-specific systems

• Participate in on-call rotation, including 2–3 weeknights per week, every 3rd weekend, and 2–3 holidays per year

• Complete department-specific orientation consisting of 32 hours across 4 shifts prior to independent assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois clinical license, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Recent hands-on experience with heart catheterizations and peripheral catheterizations

• Ability to comply with a drug-free workplace policy, including a negative drug screen for all panels

• Availability to fulfill on-call requirements for weeknights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Philips imaging and monitoring equipment in a cath lab setting

• Familiarity with McKesson lab information systems

• Prior exposure to neuro-intervention or hybrid room procedures
