Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) within an acute care, Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated facility
• Monitor and assess critically ill patients, implementing evidence-based nursing interventions
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records
• Float to other ICU units within scope as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support optimal patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license in hand at time of application
• Minimum 1 year of SICU or ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross only; RQI cards not accepted)
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system
• Ability to work every other weekend as part of scheduled rotation
• First-time travel nurses are not accepted for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level I Trauma or Magnet-designated hospital environment
• Familiarity with floating protocols across multiple ICU settings
• 18 or more months of ICU nursing experience preferred
