Key Responsibilities
- Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments; appropriately assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family as appropriate.
- Circulate during C-Sections, attend deliveries assisting the physician as needed, and follow appropriate policies during recovery and care of surgical patients.
- Attend the neonatal station in the C-Section suite and completely assess the neonate post-delivery.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances; serve as an advocate for patient physical and emotional well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Active Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and/or L&D/LDRP settings.
- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications required (must be through the American Heart Association).
- Experience must include care areas such as OB/GYN (post-op hysterectomy), Antepartum, Triage, Labor and Delivery, and/or Postpartum.
- Ability to attend fetal monitoring certification classes as required (every two years).
- Willingness to float to another unit as needed based on facility census (in a helping hands or sitter capacity).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Women's Services or OB/GYN setting.
- Previous experience working in a community hospital environment, either in a permanent or contract capacity.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in acute care or women's health settings.
