Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Title

• Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (Contract, 13 Weeks)

• Austin, TX

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 13-week contract, nights shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery unit, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
• Monitor fetal and maternal well-being using intermediate fetal monitoring techniques and equipment such as Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, and Toco
• Assist with procedures including SVD, cerclages, C-sections, and TOLAC
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, including attendance and dress code standards (navy blue scrubs only, no T-shirts)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system (Meditech)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications
• Experience with fetal monitoring, SVE competency, and C-section circulation
• Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Internal monitor placement competency
• Previous employment within high-volume Level IV units
• Familiarity with high-acuity, high-volume obstetrical environments
• Experience with internal monitor placement and level IV unit procedures
