Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 21-bed ICU setting at a standard 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, adjusting to 3:1 for step-down status or 1:1 for high-acuity patients

• Perform and assist with procedures including intubation, central line insertion, bronchoscopy, and endoscopy

• Manage vasopressor IV drip titration and ventilator management for critically ill patients

• Care for patients presenting with sepsis, arrhythmias, and medical/surgical critical care conditions

• Operate Hospira IV pumps and document patient care using Meditech EMR

• Adhere to unit scheduling requirements including every third weekend, one major winter holiday, self-scheduling, and occasional float to Telemetry

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications

• Proficiency with Meditech EMR

• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac care experience

• Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)

• Team-oriented with a collaborative and positive attitude
