Registered Nurse – Med/Surg & Emergency Room

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined Med/Surg and Emergency Room setting during night shift hours

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5, delivering safe and effective nursing care

• Assess, monitor, and respond to patient conditions including post-operative orthopedic and spine cases

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient treatment plans

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities

• Adhere to all facility policies, including holiday scheduling requirements

Required Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license required

• Current and valid ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required

• Spine and orthopedic post-operative patient care experience required

• Strong Med/Surg background with demonstrated clinical competency

• COVID-19 vaccination required per state mandate

• Must be available to work holidays — no holiday time-off requests will be accommodated

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a combined Med/Surg and Emergency Room environment

• Familiarity with rural or critical access hospital settings

• Strong adaptability and ability to manage diverse patient populations
