Travel RN – PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM | Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring for patients recovering from cardiac, orthopedic, neurological, and vascular procedures including cardiac cath, ablation, carotid endarterectomy, TAVR, laminectomies, and joint replacements
- Manage and monitor advanced equipment including LVADs, arterial lines (A-lines), Swan-Ganz catheters, and ventilators
- Maintain a 2:1 patient ratio within a 16-bed PACU unit, ensuring safe and effective patient recovery
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills
- Float to Pre-op as needed and fulfill on-call and weekend call requirements, with a 1-hour call-back response time
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in PACU
- Critical Care / ICU experience required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Proficiency with advanced monitoring equipment (LVADs, A-lines, Swans, ventilators)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous cardiac nursing experience, including exposure to cardiac cath lab or cardiovascular surgical recovery
- Experience in orthopedic and/or neurological post-operative care
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR platform
