Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring for patients recovering from cardiac, orthopedic, neurological, and vascular procedures including cardiac cath, ablation, carotid endarterectomy, TAVR, laminectomies, and joint replacements

• Manage and monitor advanced equipment including LVADs, arterial lines (A-lines), Swan-Ganz catheters, and ventilators

• Maintain a 2:1 patient ratio within a 16-bed PACU unit, ensuring safe and effective patient recovery

• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills

• Float to Pre-op as needed and fulfill on-call and weekend call requirements, with a 1-hour call-back response time

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in PACU

• Critical Care / ICU experience required

• Current ACLS certification required

• Proficiency with advanced monitoring equipment (LVADs, A-lines, Swans, ventilators)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous cardiac nursing experience, including exposure to cardiac cath lab or cardiovascular surgical recovery

• Experience in orthopedic and/or neurological post-operative care

• Familiarity with Meditech EMR platform
