Job Title

• Registered Nurse – IMC/Stepdown/PCU

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, day shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, monitor telemetry, and respond to emergency situations promptly.
• Administer medications, including IV therapies, and manage post-procedure and post-surgical patient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Perform wound care, manage respiratory devices, and handle complex patient needs in a Level I trauma center environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, isolation precautions, and documentation standards using Cerner EMR system.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU/Stepdown/PCU experience
• BLS and NIH certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
• Experience with cardiac post-procedural patient management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level I trauma center or teaching hospital setting
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR system
• Experience with advanced respiratory support and neuro/ortho specialties
