Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients in a 9-bed L&D unit with 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, and a 3-bed OBED, maintaining a 1:2 patient ratio
- Perform and assist with unit procedures including OR circulating, IUPC, FSE, MgSO4 administration, postpartum hemorrhage management using the JADA system, and nitrous oxide administration
- Support patient choice and promote vaginal birth opportunities in alignment with individual patient preferences
- Document accurately using CPN and Meditech electronic documentation systems
- Fulfill scheduling requirements including 4 weekend shifts per month; float to mother/baby or outside department to task as needed
- Collaborate within a laborist team model alongside 24/7 in-house midwives, dedicated CRNA, and on-call OBGYN
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Fetal monitoring certification
- Ability to maintain patient experience scores above 75%
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Spinning Babies training or familiarity
- STABLE program certification or experience
- Experience with couplet care and breastfeeding support, including donor milk protocols
