Travel Registered Nurse – Pre-Op / Phase 2 Recovery

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (5:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative nursing care for surgery, endoscopy, cath lab, EP, CT, and outpatient patients
• Perform Phase 2 recovery care for urology, GYN, and same-day surgery patients
• Assist with outpatient infusions, outpatient EKGs, nerve blocks, and blood transfusions
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 across a 9-bed Pre-Op and 5-bed Phase 2 recovery unit
• Utilize unit equipment including Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machine, Doppler, patient scale, and bladder scanner
• Document accurately using Meditech EMR and adhere to a 30-minute on-call response time requirement

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Phase 2 recovery experience required — candidates without this will not be considered
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pre-operative nursing experience or demonstrated ability to support pre-op staff
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Experience working in a same-day surgery or ambulatory surgical unit setting
