Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases
- Assist with cardiac and thoracic procedures as the primary case focus
- Support vascular procedures including open and endovascular cases
- Participate in transplant procedures (liver, kidney, pancreas) and pancreatic (Whipple) procedures as needed
- Fulfill on-call requirements per unit policy, including weekday and weekend call shifts on a rotating basis
- Float within the surgical service line to meet facility needs
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (Missouri or applicable compact license); pending Missouri license accepted at time of submittal
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required; 1 year considered if from a Level 1 Trauma facility
- Demonstrated scrub and circulate experience in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required (must be obtained by compliance deadline)
- Candidate's home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BSN degree preferred
- Experience in a short-term acute care or Level 1 Trauma teaching facility
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system
