Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Oncology)

Contract | Days / Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day Shift: 7:00–19:30 | Night Shift: 19:00–7:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Oncology unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring for patients receiving chemotherapy and manage telemetry via GE B450 monitor system
• Administer chemotherapy and support symptom management related to disease treatment or progression
• Implement and maintain infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, arterial lines, ports, and administer blood products
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed based on staffing priorities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Active, valid RN compact or state license in hand at time of submission
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Demonstrated skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, ABG interpretation, IV starts, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and chest tube insertion/removal assistance
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
