Registered Nurse – Oncology (Med/Surg)

Contract | Days/Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day Shift: 7:00–19:30 | Night Shift: 19:00–7:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for oncology patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration
• Support patients with soft tissue malignancies receiving diagnostic services, chemotherapy, and symptom management
• Manage symptoms secondary to disease-related treatment or progression, including comorbidity management
• Implement and maintain infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Operate specialized equipment including GE telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity level as needed based on staffing priorities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Valid RN compact or state license in hand at time of submission
• Active BCLS certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• Demonstrated skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, port access, arterial line management, blood product administration, central/PICC line care, IV starts, chest tube insertion/removal assistance, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and ABG interpretation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred but not required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
