Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice, considering culture, age, developmental level, and risk factors.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional team, including wound care and IV therapy.
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition; conduct ongoing assessments and document responses to procedures and therapies.
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including discharge teaching and coordination with case management.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor the accuracy and completeness of care provided by other team members.
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and documentation auditing.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN).
• Proficiency in administering medications, performing wound care, IV therapy, and operating medical equipment.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and task prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and patient/family education.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Familiarity with evidence-based nursing practice, current research, and healthcare regulatory standards.
