Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Onsite | 13-Week Assignment | Day Shift 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Weekends may be required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and available resources
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage the clinical situation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing specialty
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment and manage complex patient situations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience with post-surgical patients including orthopedics, general surgery, and neurological populations
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
