Schedule / Job Type
Full-Time | Direct Hire | Onsite | Nights – 12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week | Every-other weekend required | Every-other holiday required (assigned and rotated annually)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for emergency room patients
- Implement and evaluate evidence-based nursing interventions within scope of practice
- Identify patient diagnoses and expected outcomes to guide safe, effective care delivery
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team under the supervision of nursing department management
- May float to other units within scope of practice as needed
Required Qualifications
- Nursing degree (new graduates welcome to apply)
- Active RN license – Kansas license or compact RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (obtained through RQI upon hire)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an emergency room or acute care setting
- Familiarity with trauma nursing principles and emergency patient care protocols
