Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | 8-hour shifts, 36–40 hours per week | Start time between 6:30–9:00 AM | No weekends, no holidays, no on-call

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during GI and endoscopy procedures in a fast-paced procedural environment handling 30–60 cases per day
• Provide pre-procedure admission, moderate sedation administration, and post-procedure recovery care
• Monitor patients and perform assessments in PACU and recovery settings
• Operate Olympus scopes and a variety of endoscopy supplies from commonly known manufacturers
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• May be required to float to additional nearby facilities as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2 years of GI Lab or Endoscopy experience including PACU, admission, and recovery
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
• Ability to pass an EKG competency test with a score of 80% or higher prior to starting
• Minimum background in Med/Surg Telemetry; GI or pre-op/post-op experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience as a procedural nurse in a high-volume GI or endoscopy setting strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Olympus scopes and endoscopy equipment from multiple manufacturers
• Experience with moderate sedation protocols in a procedural environment
