Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 3:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled surgical scrub technologist support within a cardiovascular operating room environment at a short-term acute care facility
- Assist surgical teams during cardiothoracic and vascular procedures, ensuring proper instrumentation, supplies, and equipment are available and sterile
- Maintain a 1:3 ratio standard throughout surgical cases
- Participate in on-call coverage as required, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Adhere to facility dress code and departmental protocols at all times
Required Qualifications
- Active NBSTSA certification (CST) required
- Minimum of 2 years of consecutive experience in cardiovascular surgery (cardiothoracic and vascular)
- Valid state or compact nursing/allied health license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Travel experience in a CVOR setting required
- Must be willing to commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel contract experience in a cardiovascular or surgical services setting
- Familiarity with Level II Trauma Center environments and acute care surgical protocols
- Experience floating between sister facilities within a health system
