Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend and holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit managing common diagnoses including NSTEMI, COPD, pneumonia, sepsis, and AKI
• Maintain patient ratios of up to 1:5 (with potential up to 1:7) and collaborate with PCTs assigned at a 1:8 ratio
• Monitor telemetry strips throughout the shift and sign off as required; telemetry technicians are scheduled and will read strips
• Work alongside a Charge Nurse and House Supervisor for unit oversight and support
• Float to ICU, ER, or behavioral health as applicable based on individual experience level
• Adhere to facility dress code including any scrub color, closed-toe shoes, and good hygiene standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to pass a drug screen; placement is on a drug-free campus

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and strip sign-off
• Background in ICU, ER, or behavioral health settings (relevant to potential float opportunities)
• Familiarity with high-acuity Medical Surgical diagnoses such as sepsis and NSTEMI
