Contract | Nights | Onsite | 8-hour and 12-hour shift options available (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation may be required | Block scheduling available for agency staff
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and perform head-to-toe patient assessments
- Provide nursing care for residents with diagnoses including CHF, COPD, diabetes, dementia, and rehabilitation needs
- Manage IV therapy for fluids and antibiotics as indicated
- Perform charge nurse duties as needed
- Float throughout the facility as required
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, dietician, social services, MDS/case managers, and activities staff
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of long-term care (LTC) experience
- Proficiency or ability to learn Point Click Care (EMR)
- Comfort working in a locked dementia unit environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with SNF patient populations including rehabilitation and dementia care
- Familiarity with IV therapy administration in a post-acute or LTC setting
- Prior experience with BIPAP/CPAP monitoring (no ventilated patients)
