Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 13–26 Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients on a unit with a daily census of approximately 43 patients at a ratio of 1:6–7
• Manage insulin drips, heparin drips, wound vac dressing changes, and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Serve in a charge nurse role as required for night shift travelers
• Float to similar units and alternate care locations, including inpatient holding areas, as needed
• Participate in assigned Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team; may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters
• Work every other weekend and must be available to work holidays; may care for COVID-positive patients

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state
• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience
• Proficiency with Epic EMR (required)
• Demonstrated ability to manage insulin and heparin drips
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI certification
• Prior charge nurse experience
• First-time travel nurse candidates will be considered
