Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts (18:45–07:15) | 3x12 per week | 36- and 48-hour week options available | 13–26 week assignments considered | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate-level nursing care to a sub-specialized neurological and medical intermediate patient population with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Administer and monitor IV drips, telemetry, and ventilator management as required by patient acuity
• Utilize unit systems including PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR for documentation and communication
• Float to other intermediate care areas and critical care units as needed per unit requirements
• Fulfill weekend requirements of 3 weekends every 6 weeks (6 total weekend shifts across Saturday and Sunday)
• Adhere strictly to the unit call-off policy and all scheduling requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; neuro experience strongly preferred
• Active RN licensure in NC or a Compact state
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring, mechanical ventilators, IV insertion, and drip management
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Ability and willingness to float to intermediate and critical care areas

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with triage, intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring, and conscious sedation
• Charge nurse experience
• Additional certifications: CCRN, TNCC, and/or CPI
