Contract | Days | Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | No Call | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with gross description and dissection (examination) of surgical tissues under the supervision of a pathologist
- Submit specimens for histological and other laboratory testing
- Summarize patients' medical history in support of diagnostic workflows
- Perform procedures within the scope defined by the supervising physician
- Collaborate effectively with the medical community, laboratory staff, and other hospital personnel
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Health Science or Pathology
- ASCP Certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
- Ability to perform intermittent hand manipulation and lift/carry up to 50 lbs
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a surgical pathology or anatomic pathology environment
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team
