Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
• Utilize Cerner for all clinical documentation and maintain accurate patient information on boards throughout each visit
• Collaborate with techs, cardiac monitoring unit staff, triage personnel, and unit clerks across all sections of the ED
• Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors in accordance with unit protocols
• Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior practices, and consistent patient communication throughout each visit
• Maintain flexibility to float to all sections within the Emergency Department as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
• Experience serving diverse, multilingual patient populations
